Police

The Sidney Police Department adapts to the ever-changing challenges and opportunities of our community to provide the highest level of service and protection to our citizens.  We are a full-service police department with an authorized strength of 37 sworn police officers and 11 dispatchers.  The Sidney Police Department also employs 6 civilian staff members who provide on-site community services and assist with day-to-day operations inside the organization.

The Department is organized into five divisions, each operating with a direct supervisor and all reporting to the police chief and deputy police chief:

  • Administration - Chief Mark McDonough
  • Communications - Public Safety Superintendent Rob Jameson
  • Patrol - Deputy Chief Aaron Rode
  • Records - Office Supervisor Angie Kitzmiller
  • Investigations - Lieutenant Ethan Brown
