The Sidney Police Department is pleased to announce the formation of Public Safety Cadet Unit 7501. This program will give cadets an opportunity to become closely involved with police work through specialized training, special details, and community programs. The program provides an opportunity for cadets to become familiar with police work, to serve the community, and develop leadership skills. It creates an attitude of support from peers and adults during the process.
Requirements to Join
- Must be between 14-21 years old
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA
- No arrests or convictions involving felonies, crimes of violence, drug offenses or association with any gang or criminal group
- Be of good moral character
