Airport Advisory Board
The Municipal Airport Advisory Board advises the City Council, staff and the Airport Manager on matters related to the operation and future development of the Sidney Municipal Airport.

Board of Building Code Appeals
This Board, provided for by City ordinance, hears and rules on any appeals from decisions made by the Building Inspector and reviews legislation as requested.

Citizens Peer Review Committee
The Citizens Peer Review Committee is responsible for inspecting structures to determine paint requirement violations of the city's paint standards.

City Planning Commission
The function of the Planning Commission is to prepare and revise a plan providing for the expansion and development of the City.

City Tree Board
The City Tree Board was created by the City Council in April 1989 to develop, annually update, and administer a written plan for the care, preservation, pruning, planting, replanting, removal, or disposition of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets, and in other public areas.

Civil Service Commission
The Civil Service Commission meets at the request of the Chairman and is responsible for all initial appointments and promotions in the Police and Fire Departments, as well as the resolution of appeals from employees in those departments.

Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council
The Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council meets at least annually to inspect the properties within the Community Reinvestment Area district for which an exemption has been granted.

Compensation Commission
The commission determines the annual salary of the Mayor and members of City Council.

Downtown Design Review Board
The duties of the board include the review and approval/disapproval of planned alteration or demolition funded by Federal, State, or City funds, within the 9-block downtown area.

The team reviews and makes recommendations on feasibility of granting tax abatements to businesses in Sidney.

The Greater Downtown Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council reviews applications for residential, commercial and industrial projects in the newly expanded zone.
