[ARCHIVED] Home Repair | Rehabilitation Program Funds Available

The City of Sidney Community Housing Impact and Preservation (CHIP) program, in partnership with Shelby County provides home repairs or private rehabilitations for income eligible homeowners who reside within the city limits or within Shelby County. Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, roof, gutters, furnace, ADA modifications, water heater, electric panel and other health and safety needs.

The Home Repair Program provides no-cost upgrades and fixes for qualified homeowners. This grant-funded program requires no repayment by the homeowner. The Home Rehabilitation Program offers more extensive repairs and upgrades for homes. Assistance will be in the form of a declining-forgivable loan. There is no monthly payment, and no interest will be charged. No credit check is needed. 100% of the amount borrowed will be forgiven over five years provided owner continues to own and occupy the home.
