Officer Joseph Kennedy observed a dark colored Honda northbound on I-75 with dark tinted windows and a registration that was not legible. Officer Kennedy went after the car and when he tried to stop the car the car refused to stop. The Honda got off at the 92 Mile Marker and then got back on I-75 and headed southbound.
Another Sidney Police Officer was able to get behind Officer Kennedy as they pursued the car southbound on I-75. The Honda was able to dodge several sets of STOP STICKS.
When the Honda neared the Needmore Road exit it struck a set of STOP STICKS that the Ohio State Highway Patrol had deployed. The Honda then exited on the Needmore Road exit. At the top of the exit ramp the driver exited the vehicle and went prone on the ground. The Honda was still in gear and rolled down an embankment. The passenger also exited the Honda and went prone on the ground too.
The driver was Davon Kristopher Hill age 22, out of Hamilton County Ohio. Mr. Hill had several outstanding warrants out of Hamilton County. Mr. Hill was transported to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office for incarceration. Suspected narcotics were also found in Mr. Hill’s possession.
