[ARCHIVED] Citizens' Police Academy to Start in February

The Sidney Police Department is conducting a Citizens' Police Academy in order to enhance the communication between the residents of Sidney, and the police who serve them. The program is designed to give the citizens of Sidney an overview of the how the department operates, and an in-depth view of its policies. This free course will be held on ten consecutive Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. starting February 23, 2022, and ending April 27, 2022. The course will take place in the Sidney Police Department Training room located at 234 W. Court Street.

Applications must be completed and  returned to Officer Bryce Stewart no later than January 24, 2022. Applications may be submitted in person, by mail or by email.        

You must be a resident of Sidney, or be associated with a business or organization within Sidney. You must be 18 years old, and must have no felony convictions. You may be disqualified to participate at the  discretion of the Chief of Police.
