On January 31, 2025, members of the Sidney-Shelby County Drug Task Force, along with members of the Sidney Police Department and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, served a narcotics search warrant at 637 Marilyn Dr. in the City of Sidney.
Individuals located inside the residence were secured while detectives conducted a search of the residence. Recovered during the search: three firearms, cocaine, mushrooms, ecstasy, LSD, multiple prescription drugs, and a Timber rattlesnake. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources safely removed the rattlesnake from the residence.
Manny R. Perez was arrested and transported to the Shelby County Jail. He will be charged with multiple crimes including having weapons while under disability F3, possession of drugs F3, trafficking of drugs F4, and other crimes.
