[ARCHIVED] Monthly Winter Yard Waste Collection for March

Branches and other yard waste set curbside for collection

The collection of yard waste is done monthly from December to April by City of Sidney crews. Monthly collection for March will begin March 11, 2024

During this time, residents with yard waste should bundle brush, no more than 4 feet long and 2 inches in diameter, into manageable bundles with rope or twine (no wire) not to exceed 60 pounds.

Residents on the trash cart collection service are not required to purchase yard waste tags. Those residents on the low-volume bag service must purchase yard waste collection tags. Yard waste tags can be purchased for $1.97 each (in sets of 5) at the Revenue Collections Office in City Hall.

During monthly collection, all yard waste should be out for pick up on your normal trash pick-up day during the second week of each month. The actual pick-up day may be later in the week as it may take more than one week to complete the collection depending on volume and weather conditions.

Weekly pickup of yard waste will resume on May 1, 2024.
