  4. Who May Enter

    The contest is open to anyone currently residing or employed in the City of Sidney, as well as those who were born in Sidney, Ohio. All contestants must be at least 21 years of age by January 10, 2020. The Councilmembers of the City of Sidney, members of the Sidney Bicentennial Committee and employees of Moeller Brew Barn and their immediate family members of each are ineligible to participate. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren.

  5. How may I enter?

    Entries must be mailed or hand-delivered to the offices of the City Clerk of the City of Sidney (Clerk Kari Egbert, Sidney City Hall, 201 West Poplar Street, Sidney, Ohio 45365.) Qualified entrants must use this form to submit their contest entries. Only one name may be submitted on each form.

  6. What is the deadline for entry into the contest?

    Entries must be received before 5:00 p.m. January 10, 2020. No late entries will be accepted for any reason. Sidney City Councilmembers, the Sidney Bicentennial Committee, employees of Moeller Brew Barn and their agents or assigns are not responsible for any lost or stolen entries.

  7. How many winners are selected?

    One (1) winner will be selected. The lone winner will receive a case of the newly named beer and a cash prize of $250.00. In the event that two or more individuals submit the same suggested name and that name is considered the winning entry, the entry received first will be considered the winning entry.

  8. How is the winner notified?

    The winner will be notified by telephone. In the event the winner has neither a telephone nor is able to be contacted by telephone, they will be disqualified and another entrant will be selected.

  9. What are my odds of winning?

    The odds of winning this contest are dependent upon the number of valid entries received.

  10. How is the winning entry selected?

    The Sidney Beer Sub-Committee will select the contest winner, and their decision will be final.

  11. What happens to my entry form(s) when the contest concludes?

    With the exception of the winning entry, all entries will be destroyed and personal information contained on the forms will not be shared with any other entity.

  12. What information am I required to provide if I am the winner?

    By entering the contest, participants agree that if they are selected as the winner, their personal information (including name, address and age) can be released to the media. In addition, the winner grants permission for photos taken of them in relationship to the contest to be used for publicity purposes.
