Sidney crews continue their efforts to remove snow from city roadways.
Street Superintendent Brian Green shared, "As of 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 4, crews have completed the first phase of the established snow policy by addressing main roadways, residential hills, curves and bridges. Our crews have now switched to the second phase of the removal plan and will begin work in residential neighborhoods, including alleys and cul-de-sacs. They expect to complete the residential routes before the end of the day. Once neighborhoods have been addressed our crews will move into the next phase of the plan which is removing accumulated piles of snow in the downtown and from parking lots."
Green continued, "We appreciate the public's patience as our crews work to safely remove snow from the public roadways."
Crews have been working rotating 12-hour shifts since Thursday, February 3, 2022.
