Our customers are either billed quarterly or monthly, depending on customer preference or landlord requirements.
Your bill will contain your water consumption for the previous period and your refuse service for a period in advance (either 1 month or 3 months, depending upon the frequency of your bill). Your sewer charges are calculated based on your water consumption, while the EPA fee and stormwater charge is a flat monthly amount for all residences. A late payment penalty of 5% is added if not paid by the due date on the bill.

Your payment options include:
In person– Payments in person can be made at the Utility Billing office, 201 West Poplar Street, Sidney. Customer service is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
By drop box-- For your convenience, there is a drop box on the Poplar Street side of the Municipal Building - outside the main City Hall entrance available 24-hours a day.
By mail– Address all payments to City of Sidney Utility Billing Office, 201 W. Poplar St., Sidney, OH 45365.
Auto Pay- Customers can have their payments automatically withdrawn from their checking or savings account. There is no charge for this service. Fill out the automatic deduction form and mail or bring in to the Office of Revenue Collection to start making your payments automatically
Online Customers can pay by credit card or have payment withdrawn from their checking or savings account through the City's web payment option here.

 

 

Utility payments can be made with cash, personal check or money order.

Due Date & Delinquency:
Payments must be received by the due date printed on the bill. A late payment penalty of 5% will be added if not paid by the due date

Water Usage Information

The average person uses 6 hundred cubic feet (ccf) of water
per quarter. This allows for all cooking, cleaning and laundry
needs. A family of four can be expected to use 24 ccf of
water per quarter. If your water usage is considerably more
than average, call our office at 498-8114 for water
conservation tips and information on how to locate leaks
in your household.
