Fleet Mission Statement
To acquire, maintain, account for and dispose of all City Fleet assets in the most cost effective, safe, reliable and efficient manner as possible.
Trying always to keep in mind the best interest of the citizens of the City of Sidney.
The Fleet services department is responsible for all vehicle fleet matters for the City of Sidney.
Fleet assets consist of vehicle and motorized equipment used by the City agencies to provide services relating to the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Sidney.
The customers of fleet services are Public Works, Public Safety (Police, Fire, and EMS),Shelby Public Transit, Parks & Recreation, and various other departments.
Fleet Services Operations
Major and minor maintenance is performed in-house by City staff at the Service Center.
Outsourced repairs include tires, alignments, and body work.
Hours of operation is 7:00am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Staff are available for emergency call-out 24 hours a day.
